Seabrook Primary School is looking forward to another great year of teaching and learning and would like to advise you of Seabrook Primary School’s voluntary financial contributions for 2023.
Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. We want to thank you for all your support, whether that’s through fundraising, voluntary financial contributions, or volunteering your time. This has made a huge difference to our school and the many programs we can offer.
For further information on the Department’s Parent Payments Policy, please see a one-page overview attached.
Within our school, this financial support has allowed us to provide the highest quality school resources, online subscriptions to support the learning program, hands-on learning and play equipment, and ICT services and infrastructure. While parents continue supporting the school, Seabrook Primary School is able to offer enhanced digital learning equipment and programs, and the highest quality of well-resourced programs and experiences to support the teaching and learning program. If you are in genuine financial hardship, payment plans will be an available option.
Our School Council will not be increasing the recommended financial contribution amount in 2023.
At the start of 2023, parents will be able to make payments using Compass.
The action centre will show the following amounts per student, which parents are able to alter according to individual circumstances:
Curriculum Contributions $325
*These payments support inclusions such as:
Other Contributions (Grounds maintenance and improvements) $40
*Recommended for one child per family only.

Seabrook Primary School recommends you purchase a MacBook for your child to use from Grade 3 onwards. Further details will be provided regarding recommended models that can be purchased through a portal with the third-party supplier, Beyond the Box.

Extra-Curricular Items and Activities – provided on a user-pays basis
Seabrook Primary School offers a range of optional items and activities that enhance or broaden the schooling experience of students and are above and beyond what the school provides to deliver the Curriculum.
The cost of extra-curricular items and activities will be advised throughout the year, as plans are finalised for incursions and excursions.
For Grade 3-6 students, there is typically also an Athletics Day (approx. $10pp), a camp (typically $300-$500pp), and other special opportunities such as competitive sports – individually priced according to travel expenses.
